App 免费下载，无内购或订阅；1.1 起通过启动广告和横幅广告支持维护，1.2 增加家长自愿选择的激励视频广告以获得本机星光装饰。不观看或广告不可用不影响课程学习。面向台湾、澳门、香港、新加坡和菲律宾提供，不在中国大陆销售。
需要注册账号或上传孩子的信息吗？
无需注册或登录，不要求孩子提供姓名、生日、照片或联系方式。学习记录保存在本机，不上传给开发者。联系支持请由家长发送邮件，避免包含孩子的个人信息。
怎么查看和重置进度？能在其他设备恢复吗？
在学习页面进入家长区，完成家长验证后可查看记录、调整声音与动态效果，或按页面说明重置对应进度。删除记录还需第二次确认，且无法撤销。完整课程与绘本故事分别保存进度，重置范围会在确认页面列出。
App 不提供账号或开发者云同步。“删除 App”通常会移除本机数据；系统的“卸载 App”操作会保留文稿与数据。系统备份可能保留或恢复旧记录，取决于设备和备份设置，请勿把它视为 App 提供的跨设备同步。
没有声音，或读音听起来不对怎么办？
先检查 App 声音开关和 设备音量。App 使用 AVSpeechSynthesizer 调用设备已安装的 Apple 简体中文（zh-CN）声音，不录音、不上传朗读文本，也不捆绑从 macOS 导出的语音录音。若普通话声音不可用，请家长检查设备朗读声音设置，或使用文字提示继续练习。例词与上下文决定本次读音；若发现问题，欢迎反馈具体汉字、例词和设备版本。
网站和游戏的隐私处理一样吗？
App 的学习记录保存在本机。通过家长区打开本支持网站需要网络，会向 GitHub Pages 发出请求；发送支持邮件会经过您的邮件服务和 QQ 邮箱。请参阅完整隐私说明。

A little island for every character.
Welcome to the support site for Hanzi Island (汉字小岛：趣味识字), an iPhone / iPad learning game (iPhone support starts with version 1.2) for children aged 5–7 with a parent or guardian. It teaches simplified Chinese characters with Mandarin narration.

01 / Discover
Two characters at a time
Activities include written forms, spoken words, missing-character practice, scene interactions, recognition without pictures, and word or sentence practice. Each unit has five lessons followed by a ten-character review. A separate ten-character story experience is included.
02 / Together
Important actions for adults
An adult check protects learning records, sound and motion settings, progress resets, and external support links in the parent area. Records describe practice performance, not mastery or a teaching assessment. This website and support communication are intended for adults.
03 / On device
Learning progress stays local
No account is required. Course resources are included in the app for offline learning on iPad and, starting with version 1.2, iPhone. Progress, practice records, and settings stay on the device, with no developer-operated backend or cloud sync. See our privacy notice for the boundaries.
Questions from parents
Can we download or try the game now?
Visit the App Store to check available versions and regional availability. This site provides product information and support.
How will the game be priced?
The app is free to download, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions; app-open and banner ads support maintenance from version 1.1. Version 1.2 adds optional rewarded video ads chosen by a parent for a local starlight decoration. Declining or unavailable ads do not restrict lessons. Target regions are Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines, and will not be offered in mainland China.
Will my child need an account or share personal information?
No registration, login, name, birth date, photo, or contact details are required. Learning records stay on the device and are not uploaded to the developer. A parent should email support and avoid including a child's personal information.
How do we view or reset progress? Can it transfer between devices?
Open the parent area from the learning page and complete the adult check to view records, change sound or motion settings, or reset the corresponding progress. Deletion requires a second confirmation and cannot be undone. The full course and story experience store progress separately; the confirmation screen explains which records will be deleted.
The app provides no account or developer-operated cloud sync. “Delete App” generally removes local data; “Offload App” keeps documents and data. System backups may retain or restore older records depending on device and backup settings. This is not cross-device sync provided by the app.
What if narration is unavailable or sounds incorrect?
Check the app sound setting and device volume first. The app uses AVSpeechSynthesizer with an installed Apple Simplified Chinese (zh-CN) voice. It does not record audio, upload narration text, or bundle speech recordings exported from macOS. If Mandarin speech is unavailable, a parent can check the device speech voice settings or use text hints to continue. Pronunciation depends on the example word and context. Please report the character, example word, and device version if you notice a problem.
Do the website and game handle data in the same way?
Learning records stay on the device. Opening this support site from the parent area requires a network connection and sends requests to GitHub Pages. Support messages pass through your email provider and QQ Mail. Please read the full privacy notice.
