Two to four players
Install the same app version on each device. Connect to the same Wi-Fi, open Play with Friends, and allow Local Network access.
AI can fill spare playing seats. A friends match still needs at least two human players to start.
Check that every device uses the same Wi-Fi and app version, and that Local Network access is enabled for Candy Clash in iOS Settings. Keep the host app open. Some public, guest, school, or office networks prevent devices from communicating; use a network that allows local device connections, then try again.
Yes, when spectator space is available. Rooms support up to four playing seats and four spectators. Joining a match already in progress also uses spectator mode. Request a seat for the next round; the host can assign an available seat between matches.
An AI temporarily takes over a disconnected player’s active seat. Returning to the same room during the retained session can restore that seat at a turn boundary. Closing the app may lose the temporary recovery credential.
The host device coordinates the game. If the host leaves, locks the device, or loses the connection, the room may end. Keep the host app in the foreground. There is no automatic host transfer.
No internet access is required for a match. Local multiplayer needs a shared local network that lets the devices communicate. The app does not connect players across the internet.
Open Settings to adjust sound, music, haptics, and reduced motion. Your preferences stay on your device.
