Scope and versions
Cloud Piano requires no account or in-app purchase. All built-in songs, piano play and local playback work offline. Version 1.0.0 has no advertising SDK; the advertising provisions below apply from version 1.1.0. We do not operate a server receiving piano performances and do not sell performance data. Version 1.2.0 adds localization without changing these data practices.
Google AdMob and privacy choices
The app integrates Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform (UMP). Banners appear on the song library and recordings list. App-open ads may appear during loading or eligible returns to the home screen. Ads do not interrupt piano play or playback. After a performance, watching a rewarded ad is optional and can earn 30 minutes without banner or app-open ads. Every song and playback feature remains available without watching.
Advertising data
For advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and service operation, Google SDKs may process approximate location inferred from IP address, device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, product interactions, crashes, diagnostic and performance information. Google and its advertising infrastructure process this data, potentially outside your region. Retention follows Google’s policies and applicable requirements. The developer may see aggregate ad reports, which do not contain your piano performances.
Age-appropriate requests
All ad requests use child age treatment, maximum G content rating and non-personalized treatment, with publisher first-party ID disabled. We do not request Apple tracking permission, actively use IDFA or integrate Firebase Analytics. These settings do not mean the SDK processes no technical data. Ad requests depend on UMP allowing them. Where applicable, open Parents & Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Choices to adjust your choices. Parents may contact the developer about processing or use Google’s channels to exercise applicable data rights. Built-in play and playback remain available without internet.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the latest 20 performances, song completion progress, piano volume and motion preferences locally. A performance contains its song title, save time, note pitches and the times keys were pressed and released. Playback is generated from these key events, without recording surrounding sounds or using the microphone. These performances are not sent to the developer. Delete individual recordings in My Performances, or clear all performances and progress in parent settings. Uninstalling removes the app’s local data. Apple settings control device backups and restoration; manage backups through Apple’s settings.
Permissions and children
The app does not request camera, microphone, photos, precise location, contacts or advertising tracking permissions. It has no chat, social posting or user-content upload features. A parent step protects external support links and clearing all records. We do not ask children for names, email addresses or other identifying details. The third-party advertising SDK’s technical data practices are described above.
Apple services
Apple handles App Store downloads, device backups and system diagnostics under its own rules. Depending on your system sharing settings, Apple may provide diagnostics to the developer. Third-party ad SDKs may also process diagnostics and ad usage as described above.
Support email
If you choose to email us, we receive the email address, message and attachments you provide. We use them to reply, troubleshoot and keep necessary support records. Please avoid unnecessary information such as children’s identities, passwords or payment information. You can request deletion of support correspondence at the email below; we will address information no longer needed for retention.
This website
GitHub Pages hosts our support and privacy pages. GitHub may process technical request information such as IP addresses to provide and protect the website. We add no website advertising, cookies or analytics scripts. External services apply their own privacy policies after you open their links.
