Carrom Club: Pocket Pals is developed by Peng Lin. The game is designed for offline play and optional direct play with a nearby device. We do not operate a game server or require an account. Versions through 1.3.0 (including the original App Store 1.0.0 release) do not include advertising or analytics SDKs. The advertising section below applies only to eligible users of the upcoming free version 1.4.0 and later when installed; verified purchases from the earlier paid release retain ad-free access; it does not change how the earlier app works.
Data kept on your device
Your language, sound, haptic and visual-effect preferences and unfinished offline match are stored on your device. The game does not send these records to the developer. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data; any device backups are managed separately through Apple.
Optional nearby play
If you choose Nearby Play and allow Local Network access, the game discovers other players and exchanges a randomly generated player label, room information, ready status, shots, scores and board state directly between the two participating devices. Apple networking frameworks handle connection metadata necessary to establish the connection. The player label is generated by the game, rather than taken from your personal device name. Connections require encryption. We do not receive, store or analyze the match traffic. Nearby play stops when you leave the room or disconnect.
Purchase verification
Version 1.4.0 checks an Apple-verified app transaction to preserve the ad-free benefit for users who originally purchased the earlier paid release. It reads the original build number and verification environment locally, and stores a verified ad-free entitlement on the device. These transaction details are not sent to the developer or Google. Apple may process purchase verification or restoration under its own privacy policy. If verification is unavailable, ads remain disabled for that session; this does not establish a permanent paid entitlement.
Advertising in version 1.4.0 and later
The upcoming advertising version integrates Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). It may show an app-open ad during startup, banners on menu and room screens, and an optional rewarded video when creating a room. Declining a rewarded video or having no available ad does not prevent room creation. A reward is local, non-transferable, and has no cash value.
Google may process your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device or app-scoped identifiers, ads shown, ad interactions, app interactions, crash logs and performance information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and diagnostics. This processing can occur even for non-personalized ads. We do not send your saved board state, player label, local match traffic, language selection, personal contact details, photos, microphone or camera data to Google.
The app requests non-personalized ads, disables Google's publisher first-party identifier setting, and does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization or access the IDFA. There is no separate Firebase Analytics integration or advertising mediation SDK. UMP obtains any required choices before ad requests are allowed. Where available, use Settings → Privacy choices to review or change your advertising privacy choices. Advertising requires an internet connection; the core offline and local-network game modes remain available without it.
See Google's Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure. Google operates its own retention and processing controls; the developer does not operate an advertising data server or receive a copy of these raw SDK records.
Earlier versions without advertising
Versions through 1.3.0 do not integrate third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs, and do not collect location, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, browsing history, or usage analytics through the game.
App Store purchases and diagnostics
Apple processes App Store purchases under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card information. Apple may provide aggregate sales information and, depending on your system sharing settings, crash or diagnostic information through its developer services. The game does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting service.
If you contact support
If you voluntarily email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide. We use that information only to respond and resolve your request, retaining it only as needed for support or applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete support correspondence. Do not include passwords, payment details or unnecessary personal information.
Children
The game has no accounts, chat or user-generated content. It is a general-audience game, not an app specifically directed at children; App Store age ratings vary by region. Earlier versions have no advertising; version 1.4.0 and later use the advertising services described above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the game. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, please contact us so we can delete it.
